your greatest teacher!

Yoga teaches us that all the answers are within us.
The problem is that our mind is always racing and we don’t have time to listen, to intuit, to feel …
So how can I connect with my Sadguru, my inner teacher?
First thing to do is finding time for yourself! But this is not enough … you’ll have to put this time with yourself on your daily agenda. A dear student offered me once this precious teaching: if it’s not on your agenda, it doesn’t exist!
You are as important as everything else. Would you miss a meeting at work? A School appointment with your kids teacher? No, right?! So why do you systematically miss this meetings with yourself? Why do you put everything and everyone in front of you, in your daily routine?
Finding time for you, every day, should be a priority, always! And please don’t feel bad about it … it is better to spend less quality time with your family and friends than spending a lot of time with them, always angry, tired and with your head elsewhere.
Find your space for these meetings. It can be in nature or at home but choose with your heart, a special place that makes you feel good and comfortable.
Create your routine. It can be lighting an incense, a candle, putting your mala on or your essential oils, opening that blanket you brought from your last trip or sitting on your favorite pillow. It doesn’t matter what you choose, but that you repeat the same ritual whenever you have these meetings with yourself. These simple gestures will take your mind and spirit to the right place, more and more quickly, through repetition. It’s like every time you light that incense, your whole being intuits what is coming and prepares for that special moment.
Find a comfortable position. You can use as many pillows as you want or even lean against a wall and close your eyes. Bring your attention first to the environment around you, the smell and sound of your special place. Then bring your attention inward. Feel the body, without rushing, from head to toes and back, then the mind, watching your thoughts pass by like a movie, less and less often as the time goes by. Connect with your heart and with the feelings that reside there at that moment and finally embrace your deep breath. Observe everything without judgment, from a place of love and compassion. Stay in that peaceful place, forgetting everything outside. Ask your guides for help to accompany you along this journey and then connect with your Sadguru, your inner teacher. If you have any questions or doubts, put them out and open yourself to those answers. He is wise and will bring you the right answer and the right teaching at the right time. Stay as long as you feel, as long as you need. At the end be grateful!
A happy being spreads happiness to everyone around. Take care of yourself, it’s not only you that will end up being thankful, but everyone else around you. As soon as they realize how important these moments are for your well-being, they’ll get used to it and even end up encouraging.
